From Skim Milk to Sacred: What the Body is Teaching Me About Awareness

Updated: Jun 23

I was listening to Eckhart Tolle this afternoon—his voice calm, spacious, true. And then he said something that landed like lightning in the body: “Without presence, life is like skim milk.”

The moment he said it, my whole system responded. I felt it—not as a thought, but as a remembrance. He went on to say that when he looked out from presence, from awareness itself, the world no longer felt thin. It was no longer a concept or a background. It was alive. It was the cream—full-bodied, rich, sacred.

That’s what I’m integrating right now. Through the body. Not intellectually, not spiritually even, but cellularly. Viscerally. The recognition that without presence, everything is reduced. The body tenses. Life becomes something to manage or endure. But with presence, nothing needs to change—because the fullness is already here.

The body doesn’t lie. It reacts when truth is remembered. And lately, the body has been teaching me that awareness isn’t separate from it. It is it. I’m not awareness floating above the form—I’m awareness living through the form. And when I see from presence, the form reflects that seeing. Relaxation happens. Tension melts. There are chills, subtle releases, and waves of knowing that move without thought.

This isn’t about healing or fixing anymore. It’s not even about doing. It’s about being so fully here that the body doesn’t need to carry anything extra. No projections, no past, no stories.

Just presence.

Just life.

That’s why every moment becomes sacred. Not because of what I’m doing, but because of how I’m here. Just now, I sat on the lounge after lunch, about to sip some water. There was nothing remarkable about it. And yet… there were chills. There was movement in the body. There was a deep, holy silence within.

Because I was aware.

Because I wasn’t leaning into the next thing, or replaying the last thing. I was in the moment. And the moment, when met like that, is whole. It doesn’t need to be fixed or made more spiritual. It’s already complete.

It’s so clear to me now: autopilot is half-living. Going through the motions with the mind in charge is like living behind glass—close enough to see the shape of life, but never really touching it. But when awareness is here, I’m not watching life anymore. I am life. The boundaries dissolve. The moment is no longer something I’m experiencing. It becomes who I am.

And that’s the fullness. That’s the cream.

Not because the form changed—but because I met it from presence.

And this is what we explore together in The Presence Portal.

Not as a concept. Not as something to strive for.

But as a lived, felt, embodied reality.

A space where we come home to the fullness of life—not by adding more, but by being fully here.

If you feel the call to move from skim milk to cream, from half-living to full being—

Join us.

Come sip water, breathe, and sit with the sacredness of now.
